Hi. I’m Mielle and this is my blog about culture. I will write mostly current American culture, because that is when and where I live. But, we live in a globally connected world and everything in culture has it’s roots in the past, so other cultures and eras will pop up.
I will emphasize the decentralization of culture that has been happening for about the last decade due primarily, but not entirely, to the internet–hence the title.
My definition of culture is wide ranging, so I will be writing about technology, politics, economics and occasionally my own life. If that sound very general, rather than specific– good. It was meant to be.
I will always try to relate everything back to current cultural movements and I do intend to make all the entries as relevant to a general audience as possible.
